The specialized course in Radio Astronomy was an amazing experience. I was doing my Engineering in Electronics and Communication then and was really interested in Antennas and the Radio astronomy course proved really enriching. The Academic staff including guest professors from various elite institutes added more value to the course. The field trip to Gauribidanur Observatory was very informative and lots of fun. The theoretical knowledge from the classes combined with the practical details in the observatory made it more easier to follow the program. The interactions with a diverse group of fellow students,the professors and MPBFIR staff and the very humble Director altogether made it an invaluable experience.

I had already finished my 100 hour astronomy course at the MPBIFR before doing the specialized course, and i have always received help and advice regarding my career whenever i have approached them, even after finishing the programs. The institute holds a very special value to me.
